“稚子牵衣问，归来何太迟。”—— 唐・杜牧《归家》。鞍马立于旷野，遥望连绵青绿群山，马前一盏灯火静静亮着。灯火象征温暖与光明，承载爱与牵挂，是家的方向，为远行之人照亮归途。

作品融合跨越时空的哲思，这份期盼包罗世间万般牵挂：是游子漂泊异乡，日夜惦念故土；是家中爱人静守门庭，等候远方归人；是亲人相隔山海，心底始终向往归家。

家，永远是温暖的港湾。世间相思千万种，或是丈夫遥念家中妻，盼早日团聚；或是妻子守望远行的夫君，静待重逢；或是儿女惦念远行的父母，父母牵挂在外的子女。所有心底的惦念，都汇聚成对归期的默默等候。漫长旅途穿越岁月，承载起人间这份厚重而温柔的归乡之情。

远行之人策马奔赴，远方青山之下便是故土。画面以传统青绿绘辽阔山河，山川绵延，长路漫漫。漂泊在外，山水相隔，心底永远惦念故乡。这匹马，是万千思念的化身，长路、青山与前方灯火，共同构成归途风景，寄托着人间对故土、亲人深切绵长的思念。鞍马、灯火与青绿山水相融，将万般牵挂寄于山河，情感深沉内敛，富有感染力。

“A child tugs my robe and asks: why have you returned so late?”

A saddled horse stands on open land, gazing toward rolling green mountains. A lamp glows softly before the horse. The lamp stands for warmth and light, embodying love and care. It marks the direction of home, lighting the way back for travellers far away.

This artwork carries the concept of crossing through time. This longing embraces all kinds of human affection: wanderers far from home yearn for their native land; loved ones at home quietly wait for their distant family; relatives separated by mountains and seas hold the eternal wish to return home.

Home is always a warm harbour. There are countless forms of longing in the world: husbands missing their wives and longing for reunion; wives waiting patiently for their travelling husbands; children yearning for their travelling parents, and parents thinking of their children far away. All these tender thoughts converge into quiet waiting for the homecoming. The long journey spans years, holding this deep and gentle human longing to return.

Riders travel onward; homeland lies beneath distant green hills. Vast green-blue landscapes stretch far, mountains extend endlessly and roads stretch onward. Wandering far away, separated by mountains and rivers, one’s heart always yearns for hometown. The horse embodies all human longing. Long roads, green hills and the lamp ahead form the scenery of the homeward journey, carrying deep and lasting yearning for homeland and loved ones. Merging horse, lamp and green landscape, this painting places every tender longing within mountains and rivers, with deep, restrained and touching emotion.
